Interacoustics VisualEyes™
Interacoustics VisualEyes™
VNG system and goggles
Interacoustics VisualEyes offers a comprehensive solution for balance-related disorders, combining advanced technology with user-friendly design.
The system is designed to help clinicians effectively diagnose and treat balance disorders.
VisualEyes enhances the accuracy of diagnostic tests and functional assessments through its extensive test battery and cutting-edge technology.
VisualEyes provides VNG, vHIT, rotary chair testing, and functional VOR testing—all in one integrated system.
What's new in VisualEyes?
The latest version of the VisualEyes software (version 3.2) introduces new data-driven features that bridge the gap between diagnostics and rehabilitation.
Three VORTEQ functional vestibular-ocular reflex (VOR) tests which look at the patient’s gaze stability at different speeds and in different directions of head movement:
- The Dynamic Visual Acuity (DVA) test evaluates the smallest optotype a patient can clearly see during consistent head movement.
- The Gaze Stabilization Test (GST) evaluates for the speed at which the optotype becomes blurry (optotype stays the same size, and head speed changes).
- The Functional Vision Head Impulse Test (fvHIT) combines vHIT and GST to give clinicians a functional understanding of how clearly a person can see while their head is moving rapidly and across different planes of the semicircular canal anatomy.
Advanced Oculomotor Protocols to Expand VNG test battery:
Enhanced VNG protocols allow clinicians to perform additional tests such as Saccadometry, Cervical Gaze, Smooth Pursuit Neck Torsion (SPNT), and Self-Paced Saccades. Saccadometry normative data is now available in VisualEyes. The software also allows for pupillometry and torsional measurements. These advanced tests and measurements increase the accuracy and comprehensive nature of the diagnostic workup.
New research opportunities:
VisualEyes has an optional research module which provides flexibility to adjust nystagmus parameters, customize caloric (irrigation timing) and optokinetic tests (adjust degree and speed of OPK stimulus), export detailed data for research purposes and initiate a blinking fixation light.
Systems
With VisualEyes, you start by selecting one or more core systems, and then you can expand your solution with additional modules to suit your needs.
Available systems include:
VisualEyes™ 525
A complete VNG system that enables balance centers, physiotherapists, vestibular audiologists, and neurologists to quantify the function of both the peripheral and central vestibular systems.
You can choose between different tracking algorithms to achieve more reliable test results. Advanced oculomotor (Saccadometry, Self-Paced Saccades, Cervico-Ocular tests), torsional eye tracking, and functional VOR testing provide a deeper understanding of your patient’s vestibular disorders.
This system includes VNG, vHIT, rotary chair testing, and functional VOR testing—all in one integrated solution.
VisualEyes™ 515
Designed for ENT and vestibular clinics that do not require advanced oculomotor testing. The system offers fast protocols, automated data analysis, and multiple tracking algorithms.
The VORTEQ™ Assessments Bundle can be added for advanced BPPV capabilities, and the EyeSeeCam vHIT module can be used for additional measurement of the vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR).
Combining VisualEyes™ 515/525 with the Air Fx and Aqua Stim caloric irrigators, as well as Orion rotary chairs, provides more options for assessing the vestibular function and enhances pediatric vestibular testing.
VisualEyes™ 505
This Video Frenzel system offers advanced video-based eye movement analysis through an intuitive and user-friendly goggle design.
VisualEyes 505 supports key vestibular assessments, including Spontaneous Nystagmus, Headshake, and Dix-Hallpike tests.
For expanded functionality, the VORTEQ Assessment Bundle can be added to your test suite, enabling Advanced Dix-Hallpike, Lateral Head Roll, Dynamic Visual Acuity, Gaze Stabilization, and Functional Vision Head Impulse Tests.
The Advanced Dix-Hallpike and Lateral Head Roll tests feature best-in-class torsional eye tracking for enhanced diagnostic precision.
VisualEyes™ EyeSeeCam
A comprehensive combination of vHIT and VNG systems that provides fast and objective measurements of the vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR). The results enable you to efficiently assess dizziness in patients and determine whether it is related to a vestibular disorder.
- Assess the presence of spontaneous nystagmus and VOR function across all six semicircular canals.
- User-friendly guides and 3D head models support accurate diagnosis.
- Includes testing of both the left and right eye.
VisualEyes VORTEQ™
IMU sensor and headband VORTEQ is available as an add-on to VisualEyes 505, 515, or 525 systems, or as a stand-alone system. It uses an IMU sensor that enables you to obtain accurate measurements of head position and head speed. It provides diagnostic information, an objective starting point for therapy, and the ability to monitor and adjust therapy to maximize progress.
Depending on your bundle, you can add head position and head speed tests, giving you more diagnostic information on how to make your patients feel better with their dizziness. With the VORTEQ Assessments and Functional Assessments bundles, you gain access to the DVA, GST, and fvHIT™ functional VOR tests. These test results provide an objective, data-driven starting point for vestibular therapy and the ability to monitor and adjust therapy to maximize progress.
